HCV Participants

THIS PROGRAM IS FOR CURRENT HCV PARTICIPANTS ONLY
 LMHA is now accepting applications for:
                              Family Self-Sufficiency Program 
 
 Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program: This program provides participants on the HCV program the opportunity to work with LMHA staff to devise a strategy to move from assistance to economic self sufficiency.  As you progress through employment, LMHA will establish an escrow savings account.  When you successfully complete your goals under the program, you receive a check for the accumulated escrow funds and the interest it has earned.

                                     Homeownership Program 
 
Homeownership Program: Although largely a rental assistance program, LMHA also administers a Homeownership Program.  This programs allows qualified families who are current participants on the HCV Program, the opportunity to purchase a house, with LMHA assisting in part with the monthly payments the family makes to a lending institution. 
To be eligible for the homeownership program families must meet these requirements:
  • Must be a current voucher holder in the HCV Program at LMHA
  • Not have a current outstanding debt with LMHA
  • Must be in full compliance with their lease and HCV program requirements
  • Meet minimum income requirements
  • Non-elderly/disabled families must meet the employment requirements 
  • Qualify as a first time home buyer
  • No family member has owned or had ownership interest in their residence for at least 3 years
  • No member of the family has any ownership interest in any residential property
  • Has not defaulted on a mortgage while participating in the Homeownership Program
